County Wicklow Partnership’s SICAP programme is hosting a free event to celebrate women to mark International Women’s Day. All women are invited to join us for a free evening of food, poetry and a celebration of women’s achievement at the Kare Centre, Baltinglass on Friday 6th March from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
The evening will consist of two installation’s: ‘My Feminism’ by Carnew Women’s Group and ‘Eco Feminism’ by The Vault Arklow Youth Group. Poetry readings by Jane Clarke & Catherine Anne Cullen (Poetry Ireland), Marion O Toole Carnew; Catherine Van Dijk Rathdtum; Geraldine Freer Rathdrum; Alisha Freer Rathdrum and Sasha Van Dijk Rathdrum. There will be entertainment by the Wildcats Girls Eclectic Song & Dance Group from Hillview Centre Wicklow led by Megan O Brien and by African Voices – Women from Direct Provision. Free african food will be served on the evening.
