Film Course Showcase event

Well done and congratulations to the participants who completed the Film Studies course in Glenealy IT this week. They held a showcase event last Thursday night (4th April 2019) which demonstrated the great journey they have been on which culminated in the creation of inspiring, creative and engaging short films which were premiered on the night!

Credit to Kevin Smith and Frances Reymond (Tutors, The New Media Institute) who designed, developed and delivered this course which consisted of script writing, production design, directing, editing and much much more. They also went on a field trip to the filming of The Vikings in Ashford Studio’s. Learners who completed the course will receive QQI Level 3 and 4 awards in Media Expression, Digital Media, Personal Effectiveness and Information Technology.

DEASP, Glenealy IT and County Wicklow Partnerships SICAP programme collaborated to make this course possible through funding, recruitment and coordination. Well done to all who were involved!
